I'm amazed this hasn't been picked up! You kindly sent me some pdfs of Stanton Moor a couple of months ago and they were *superb*. (I did get to the top of the Andle Stone on a return trip - my missus spurring me on got me to the top and getting back down wasn't as bad as one might fear!)

It's a shame the local University doesn't publish stuff; there's a campus in Buxton and it would be a great way for it to connect with the locality.

Hmmm, might still be worth contacting the university.

I just about finished going through the book and revising it somewhat. I have edited it to feature the sites where there is something to see and the sites where there is little or nothing, plus the sites that I didn't include will be included as a list with grid refs at the back.

I've now made all the maps 'un-OS like' as I could. The page count is now down to 192. I have looked at posting it at lulu.com to self publish it, but production cost on a single copy if you wanted one would still be £28, which I think is too much. This is because it is full colour throughout.

If anyone is desperate for a copy then I would be willing to send out a disk with a pdf of the whole book on it, but bear with me a little while longer as I have one more site I want to visit and include (an excavated burial mound and standing stone right on the western edge of the Peak which isn't listed here so it will be posted up as soon as I have been to it!)

Cheers!

A.
