Wow, wow, wow!!!

If anyone tells you this is good, don't believe 'em. Good doesn't cover it.

There are four separate elements to see: a large coffee table book of images, a pocketbook (A5-ish) with all details of all the sites, a series of 73 (count 'em!) individual pocket site guides and a series of wall posters.

To say I'm stunned by the effort put in, and the quality of the finished articles is a major understatement.

Imagine the recent Cornovia publication by Ian Weatherhill on the Cornish sites. Now imagine that repackaged into a useful format, expanded and of a quality that would not be out of place in Harrods. I loved the Moleskine type pocket at the back of the pocketbook. Please keep that cover in any final publication!

In design terms, this was easily the most commercial (read: I can imagine this on sale in high street shops) item in the exhibition. CE - you must make every effort to get the movers and shakers in the publishing industry along to see what you've achieved.

I look forward to seeing you tomorrow lunchtime. Consider my advance order placed for one copy (or possibly two) of the pocketbook and a full boxed set of the pocket guides.

Oh, and you might need some more bookmarks - people seemed to be picking them up and taking them away...

I think you just made me blush :-) Brilliant!

Seriously though, this is the feedback I want to hear because this book was done with people like you guys in mind. It's obvious to say, but people with an interest in this field are my target audience, as well as hopefully attracting a few newcomers to the share the experience I get from being out in the landscape.

Printing more bookmarks as I write. Meant to leave a bunch of them there on Saturday and then naturally forgot when someone offered to buy me a drink (easily distracted by alcohol me).

Anyway, huge thanks for going to see my work and for the kind words. I should be at the gallery some time just after noon tomorrow, so all being well I shall see you there!

Cheers!

A.
