Yes, print on demand and downloads are options, but I have poured my heart, soul and all my life savings into this so I want the end quality to be as high as possible (I'm always slightly disappointed by print on demand). So I want to try and get it published properly first so that it can be litho printed.
The book features double page full colour photographs of each site, plus full colour maps I spent 3 months creating and sketchplans of what you can see at each site today, as well as clear, concise directions and GPS coordinates etc.. The copies I had done were printed on a HP Indigo digital press and look amazing, so I want to maintain that standard.
If I don't get anywhere trying to get it published then I will definitely either look at self publishing or print on demand. My real dream is to get this one out there and then take the model I have developed and apply it to other areas of Britain and spend the rest of my life merrily visiting sites to create a series of books.
Gotta have a dream right?
