I went to the local primary school and I remember being warned by the other kids not to go down there for fear of what lay in the depths of the woods...all seems a bit mighty boosh now! From later teen years I recall the lake was constantly being fly tipped with motorbikes and cars from the local council estate. I doubt there is anything to be excavated in it bar 1980s ford fiestas!
