I did google it, and got the leyline thing too.... I read about it in a book by Chris Street which is also about energy lines(!) He described it as an ancient mound but i dont know where he gets his evidence from?? I need to know cos im compiling an article on ancient London sites...

E.O.Gordon's "Prehistoric London, it's circles and mounds" doesn't mention it, as far as I recall. And that has as much speculation about possible London sites as you could wish for!

It doesn't look very moundy I'm afraid.

It's a shame isn't it. London was a squelchy bog and then anything left by anyone prehistoric was ripped apart to build a dirty great city and there ain't nothing left but enthusiastic speculation and a few things in the Thames mud. Aren't you jealous you don't live in the lovely south west where we're tripping over barrows and stones left right and centre. (evil cackle).

Sorry. I don't mean it.
You go for it. Hard work is good for you.

I'd be really interested to see it when you've finished! :o)

What's the article for? Work or fun?
