"The years seem to spin faster with age."

When you are two years old, a year is an entire half of your life. When you are thirty years old a year is a mere thirtieth of your life. The older you get the more time speeds up. The only answer is to escape the flow of linear time altogether, although altitude also seems to help (!) - the higher up you are the more it slows down.

I'm sure that the insects which only live for an hour or two feel as though they've lived every bit as long as the person who lives for seventy years.

There was what looked like a metallic scarab beetle on the low ridge of the stores tent last week. Took it as a good sign then found another crawling about inside a couple of days later. Still alive and have found the pair to the Wogglestone. So I suppose it's now The Wogglestones. First has four deep cup marks, second has a deep narrow groove along one cusp. Both dressed Millstone Grit, on their sides, a hundred and fifty metres apart. They should be large enough to leave discenible socket holes - maybe.

Dragonflies especially.
