A great place to visit Roy, It's a little battered but well worth the trip.
Buttern Circle is only 10 minutes walk away, the Tolmen Stone is close by over the river Teign and as already mentioned, Shovel Down is only 10 minutes walk the other side of the river.
Great Dartmoor views as well. I used to go here a lot when I lived on Dartmoor.

There is certainly plenty to see there Meic that's for sure. Living on the east border of Bodmin Moor myself I'm really spoilt for choice with Dartmoor just down the road. Now I'm retired I'm getting out and about much more now than I used to which was plenty enough then according to 'her indoors' :-)
Whilst I like individual sites I find those with 'wing' remains close by fascinating as I feel it allows you more scope in trying to understanding what it was all about...sort of!!
