I don't know about this site, but Drombeg had a gravelly floor. Today it's driveway grade gravel .. yuk!

I'm waiting for them to find one with decking or snap-fix laminate flooring.

There is some info about this in TMA book (hehe can quote it now I have one ha)
I think it says the site is low-lying so was peaty and it was cleaned up, perhaps the gravel is for drainage.
I would look it up but the book isn't at arms length at this precise moment ;-)
