It's very difficult to get piled-up stones looking right. It looks easy (but it's not). It's said that the Stonehenge triliths had no precedent but, of course, they did.

I do appreciate its not an easy task, however if I were asked to design a fake dolmen that looked nothing like Poulnabrone I probably would come up with something similar. It would be like building a replica of Stonehenge (after extensive research) but making it square.

Its a nice attempt at a tripod dolmen ala Ballykeel or Legananny but to claim it represents or has some likeness to Poulnabrone is hilarious. It was the claim of extensive research and engineering that I thought was a bit of a con, if the capstone was tilted slightly it would be quite a nice fake.
