Would love to oblige, but I'm orf down to the south of England this week.

If it can wait (and let's face it, it's waited a while already) I could pop up and take a look later this month. That's unless another GPS weilding megarack can sort it sooner.

Yes, it would be good if you could get up there to get some on-site references and, perhaps, a view on what the stone setting might be.

Oh yes, and some better pictures of the ring cairn than the poxy one I posted.

Do you know why Circles 275 and 278 were thus named. Sounds like they might be numbers from a Royal Commission Inventory in which case we might get a similar name for the stone setting.
