Sounds like we're on the same wavelength Nick.

Could you just clarify whether you think Linne Loiny, Fortingall Long Cairn and Pontius Pilate's Grave are one and the same, so one of us can suggest to Holy the best thing to do?

I'm not around until this evening, so I'll go quiet (hoorah!) now.

Cheers

given the co-ordinates for "Linne Loiny", I'd say it was meant to be the cairn which is known as Pontius Pilate's Grave. Now I will attempt to clarify the various things in that field!

Bridge of Lyon long cairn (NN 7296 4655)

just a long cairn

Bridge of Lyon standing stones (NN 7314 4641)

one stone still standing, with one possible fallen one beside it

Lyon Bridge cairn (NN 7317 4657)

the remains of a cairn which legend has it is the grave of Pontius Pilate, which has a long cup-marked stone on it, believed to once have stood upright

the "Roman Camp" is actually a medieval moat:

hope that clears up any confusions about what's what!

Best wishes
Andy

ps - I'd be happier too if the Fortingall & Kenmore grouping could be split. I don't really think Kenmore Church and The Appin of Dull cup-marked rocks should be lumped in with Fortingall
