Cleaning up sites

close

Thought this might be of interest to those who live in Cornwall and love its landscape; volunteers out springcleaning and scrub clearing on cairns and wells....

Also CASPN has a diary of events for similar voluntary work....

Not really local to me, but a great initiative and has my full moral support. Would love to see some of the Peak District sites cleared back and revealed as I know there is lots more to see than heather and bracken covered bumps.

On a different level, whenever I visit sites I always carry a couple of old plastic bags in case I come across rubbish others have left behind. Thankfully this doesn't happen often, although certain sites like The Nine Ladies, always seem to get their fair share of 'offerings' such as sacrificial crisp packets and beer cans.

Cheers Moss, just read that. Nice to see that some places are being looked after.
