I'll try to look through all the galloway books and papers i have, (which is a bloody lot), and see if i can come up with something along the lines of what you need.
I know there are alot of finds and papers in both the Stranraer and Dumfries museums. I also have access to the Dumfries Transactions, which might be helpful, i'll see what i can dig up.
