I haven't come across another in Scotland, but I reckon there's huge chunks of Scotland here noone's looked yet. There's some nasty hills up there :-)
I think the problem may be that there is no lack of provenance for axe heads , resulting in no need to posit another factory in Scotland . There certainly would be plenty candidates from the topography but the choice appears more complicated than just access to good quality raw material , the Creag nan Cailliche rock is probably quite pish in comparison with lots of more accessible sites but that was the site chosen for a wee while . Ailsa Craig is not too far from the Irish and Galloway coasts , must have been investigated and might have provided wonderful raw material but it wasn't , apparently . I had come across a reference to Shuttleborne, so that paper is great, thanks.
