PeterH,
I had a flick through it in a bookshop in Ambleside. Judging from the photos, I wasn't too sure about the interpretation of the various features, e.g. boulders, as waymarks. There are any number, in my opinion, in the area that could easily be made to fit the theory. Having said that, I haven't read it, it was just my first impression.

I bought the book after you (The Eternal) brought it to my attention on this forum.

I was dissappointed by its conjectures and, apparently like you, thought the selection of rocks (sorry, "guidestones") to be rather too arbitrary for me.

I'm unconvinced as to the existence of guidestones as portrayed in the book.

I wouldn't disagree with you. I hold no brief for the book and have attempted a fair assessment. Readers can form their own opinions.
