one idea is to bring some people along for a start, with musical instruments and light a fire and drink alcohol and take drugs and dance around naked. however as this would attract the wrong kind of attention i think maybe something more civilized and in keeping with ancient reverence is better.
Nothing wrong with enjoying and revering the stones, but please don't light fires inside stone circles.

Now. If we knew the answer to that - and no one does, no matter what they say - we'd be very happy people around here :-) There are loads of theories, which means that all of them are likely to be wrong. Of course, one of them could be right for a particular site, but may not apply to the rest. The extension of that could mean that every theory is valid, but only for one site! Or, they could all be a load of tosh. Will someone tell me which it is, please?
