Well its up at 550m on a hill made up of heather so I don't see why any one would go to the bother of clearing it. Only thing the hill is good for is sheep.
I also seem to remember that there are a few stones lying around in the heather so if they did clear then it wasn't a very good attempt.

It's all a matter of elimination, Watson.

There are more clues for a pile of stones NOT to be a barrow than there are for them.

The heather problem is only a temporary thing, it could have been 5 degrees warmer and forested 4000 years ago.
