Bung 'Far House' in this ( ^ ) search engine, and then check out the proximate sites. All are genuine but semi-diversionary. 'Far House' probably is a corrupted form of 'Knar House'. Knarr was a Viking vessel and describes the glaciated shape of the valley. There was a stone spear mould found in Croglin, just a couple of miles away.
