Dunno , the horizontal lines seem to coincide with natural raised areas and the left hand vertical coincides with the broken /missing bit at the bottom .
A wee tip for getting the most out of such things is to wet the rock and take the shot into the sun ,it helps bring out the shadows that wee bit more ,although if it is bright sunlight at noon on a summers day it won't help too much .
