It's a good site to visit on a fine day, because the views are pretty spectacular. You can sit there looking out across to Wales (possibly clutching a can of Special Brew) and escape the harsh realities of the modern world (War in Iraq, Madonna's version of American Pie, etc etc).

PS. Watch out for the farmers. They drive their Land Rovers through here at quite a lick, and may not be expecting to navigate pedestrians who are 'tired and emotional'.
