This site has been hidden amongst gorze etc for years then a recent gorze fire left it exposed to view. It is now surrounded by a wire fence (probably to protect it from cattle?). It is no more than 20 metres NorthWest of the South West Peninsula Coast Path and is easily spotted.

It is listed in Vivien Russell's 'West Penwith Survey' as a Barrow in the parish of Morvah, and she describes it as "Part of ring of stones, cist near centre". Caution: 'ring of stones' does not imply 'stone circle'.

I went to see this little beauty a week or so ago. It's got a rather unsightly temporary fence around it at the moment, but still well worth a visit.

By the way Chris, we managed to get to both Portheras Common barrow and Bosullow Trehyllys settlement this trip, so thanks for posting the info about them being cleared!
