It's very like a cross with a part oval shape carved round it. Now that I think of it, it's more like something that would be drawn on a copy book by bold schoolboys :)

There's another spiral carving on a different stone that came out a bit bietter again, pics coming soon.

So do u reckon it was an attempt to christianise the site then?

Ive been up Baltinglass hill the once and I didnt see any of the carvings so well done for being able to find them and bring them out in photograph.
