Away from Callanish it's all about alignments. Where will the moon rise/set at it extremes when viewed from various monuments? It's a similar thing to the year alignment at Newgrange, but it only happens once every 18.6 years.

I think know a site where the moon will rise out of Howth, which I might check out. I'll try my best to keep the results for the book :-)

I think Dowth is another one to check out ...

Ooh the possibilities!

There she is!

Sat in the back garden for a couple of hours hoping to catch a glimpse of her before going to bed. Gave up and came upstairs. Closing the bedroom window just now and, there she is! reflected in the glass. Full and low and mellow - lady of the skies! Had to stick my head out and peer around to see her proper like... yikes! Ask where I'd want to be right now and it would be Alton Priors, Waden Hill or West Kennet... then again I'm sitting at the top of the Chelmer Cursus, with the lady sailing overhead... fantastic!
