Yes, the stone from Carnmeini is fairly bluish when freshly quarries -- but no more so than the dolerite which is found all over N Pembs. of course, I don't think the bluestones at Stonehenge ever were blue and freshly quarried. I think they were old weathered erratics when they were found and used.
