No, is the simple answer, it's not just you. I think we can all take a little from other peoples experiences and benefit from them. Whether it's through hearing tales or seeing images we all can be lifted by second hand experiences.

I think this is why we all give to TMA and other sites - so that we can take from it too and that others can take from what we put in. It's definitely a two way thing. If it wasn't why would you or I (who both have good sites of our own) contribute to the likes of TMA? We could just sit back and point people to our own sites (which I still do occasionally) and wait for the glory, but we continue to add to TMA too.

In doing this, along with all the other great contributors, we all make TMA into an ever growing beastie that we can take from as well as add to.

Actually .... after spouting all that I have just remembered that I had decided to slow down on TMA postings while I concentrate on my Dublin work and the book thang.

I will still contribute a little and continue to add in sites, but not quite at the rate I have been doing so at (unless I'm bored at work of course!).

I hear ya!
I love reading through the site posts on TMA, places I've been to, places I've never been. I think what makes TMA so much more special than guide books (except the big orange bible that is!) is the personal feelings and interpretations of the people who visit these places. If I can add anything that can help anybody else then I'm more than happy to do so.
If Audiogalaxy/Kazaa et al are about file sharing, then TMA must be about info & vibe sharing.
Cool!
