The plans for the Wales/England trip are now taking shape and as this would suggest I'm going to Wales for the first day so am hoping to visit Pentre Ifan at night time, since a full moon will be due. Everyone else seems to have been already so can someone let me know what access is like? According to google maps it's right by the roadside but doesn't look like it from the pics so how easy would it be to find it from the road at nightime? Any fences to climb or streams to cross?

Thanks in advance :)

Hi there. Pentre Ifan is very easy to get at. It's clearly signposted from the main road, and there's good access. It's one of those iconic show sites that even non-megaracs want to see. Despite the steady flow of visitors (and it's not exactly on Stonehenge proportions) you should get some time alone at the stones if you wait.

Pentre Ifan cant be more than hundred yards from the road with one straight path to it, no fences or streams, couldnt be easier.
Glad to hear your coming over and looking forward to seeing your pictures hope the weather brightens up a bit.

As you are going to this neck of the woods, pop into fishguard and make sure I wasn't seeing things. As for Pentr Ifan it is easy to access and hopefully no night tractors on the one track roads, however you arrive it will be worthwhile.
