Ok, it looks from GE as if the track west of the Dakota Farm entrance is the one to use. Should get me within shouting distance, assuming no fences are up - it's all Right to Roam land up that way according to the Council.

Hi Ocifant,

Only just seen the thread, sorry! Yes, track west of Dakota is the way to go. It takes you up to a point not far west of the summit without any major uphills or scrambling. There is an (open access) bit of unpathed land to cross from there, but should be very little vegetation at this time of year. We were there last summer and even then the vegetation was barely ankle height.

It's definitely worth a visit, plus you get to be the highest person in West Penwith while you're there.

I'm jealous, we've got another 12 weeks before our next trip down there.
