It's all very interesting and very depressing isn't it. As several comments say there are too many conflicting egos at work on this campaign and no one can pull them together. That's one of the reasons why I'm not all that involved directly (add my ego and it would only get worse.)

I'll keep fighting the little battles. The masses can try to fight the big ones. They can take a big broom to a big floor and I'll deal with corners!
