Is it not true?

The soil stripping and extraction of archaeology has commenced within the Tara/Skryne Valley. The mechanical stripping appears to go down up to three feet from the photo's. If there is not a dramatic increase in public pressure to get them to stop whilst the case is progressing a serious amount of archaeology will have been removed. By the looks of things the pits discovered after the soil strip are being 100% excavated. But any finds in the topsoil will be lost - this includes the majority of ritual deposits IMO - in the UK these were not placed in pits so the developer driven rapid archaeology technique does not find them. There is also a significant pressure of developer archaeologists to go too deep with the soil strip - looking only for the very earliest layers.

Any chance of you taking a look over there? if so mail me off-line - I have research needs.
