Hi

I'm planning a trip to Meath to see the various sites in the area. Does anyone have any ideas on where to stay and where to visit.

There's about 6 of us and we do have camper vans or we could rent a holiday cottage (what's the public transport like?)

Also ideas of approximate costs would be great.

Thanks

one source of accomadation (but don't know how good it is):

You want to be between Skreen and Drogheda. Public transport is ropey. Places like Newgrange have good bus links, but Tara, Fourknocks, Dowth etc are tricky to get to by bus.

Drogheda is actually in County Louth, but very convenient for most of the sites in Meath, including Newgrange, Dowth, Knowth, Loughcrew, FourKnocks etc and also close to many Monastic sites with wonderful examples of High Crosses.
