I've never been and I'm not an expert, so I'm not the person to ask. :)

But my answer would be, who's to say what's 'right' or 'wrong'? By overlapping the stones, the chamber is sealed on that side, which is at least functional. Assuming there may have been a mound, I'm not sure that the aesthetics have to be the most important aspect of that particular part of the tomb.

That's the crux of the matter really isn't it. :)

Oh, i thought you'd been to it, it really doesn't look right when you're there i promise you, get yourself there and then it's easy to get a bus from St Cleer to Duloe [i've done it], that would be a great day out [one of the nicest stone circles and biggest Quoits].

What about the aesthetics on the inside?
