Actually we're probably into stage 2, but we're in it for the long run!

We have already considered such things as the changing position of the Sun throughout the year, the zenith being lower in Winter and higher in Summer, but thank you for the advice. The quoit seems to have been very accurately positioned and shaped to take this into account but obviously we'll keep taking photos to see just how well it still performs.

We do not know how the capstone or any of the stones for this quoit were placed into position. It could be anything from excellent engineering to alien technology or the clever use of Earth energies (majik!) ;) lol

Our research is serious, but we try to maintain a sense of humour, too!

There are many other possible and more common stages e.g. 1) Accepted ,
simply because it is seen to to work .
1)Ignored , because it has nothing to offer .
1)Ridiculed because it is ridiculous .
and various combinations of the above .
It's a convenient smokescreen for proponents of dubious ideas to hide behind "look what they said about ....(insert revolutionary ) " as if they might be in the same class or " there is more to heaven and earth ...etc " .
