Heh! Penthouse petroglyphs.

Thanks for the good thoughts R :)

I would be lovely to spend all day in a rockarty way. I'd really like to get around to a large scale motif, using gps to plot out a giant cnr on moorland somewhere so it would be visible from space and thus count as one of those geoglyphs that are on the youtube link posted here a while back. I very much doubt it'll ever happen though.

In the meantime, I'd happily settle for finding the real Amerside carvings.

(btw, apologies to any RA affectionados out there who might have seen the thumbnail and briefly thought the carvings had been rediscovered)

It's a lovely thing matey.
I smell a lottery grant in the making.

I remember a few years ago some local wags strategically poured weedkiller onto a grassy bank. I used to love wobbling home from the pub and seeing GOD emerge amongst the kebab wrappers and pizza box- strewn grassy bank.

Hi Hob , if it's any help , not obvious ,and you don't mind the hassle , one technique for for searching in thick forestry is to don over troosers and hooded top preferably gore tex (it's warm work whatever the season ),then crawl under the lower branches .It's worthwhile if the panel is found and it keeps the pine needles from the back of yer neck etc . GPS should continue to work too . Good luck if you go .
