Hello Bawn , can't be sure but rock scribing suggests that the markings are not the typical cup 'n rings but possibly incisions similar to pluais na sgriob
or ,maybe something more curvilinear whatever it is it could be very interesting .

Hi Tiompan,

Thanks for that, I figured they may have been some kind of incisions.
I do get the feeling they may still be there but I don't know if I have the patience to spend a day or more looking for them!
Perhaps if there was more info available as to what both of the panels look like then it may be worth another look.
Does anyone know how to go about getting a description that relates to one of the SMR references in Ireland?

Not necessarily the case in Ireland. It depends when they were recorded and who recorded them. Churchtown in County Down is classed as Rock Scribings
