I think it is important, in the case of Hagar Qim and Mnajdra, that the seaward views from within the temples are maintained.

It looks like the view from Mnajdra will be obscured a bit - http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/post/72030/mnajdra.html

I'm a bit miffed that I never got there before these were erected. Hopefully, it'll all be sorted by the time I'm there next month :-)

I hope so but wouldn't bet on it.

Have a good trip Tom.

I know why it needs to be done, but not sure I like that change in view ... I loved the approach to Mnajdra.

Tom - I'm there next week and have done a little bit of research on new stuff - let me know if you need any info and I highly recommend getting "Malta before History" pub Miranda when there (unless it's a bit too coffee table for you ;-) ) but shop around, I found it cheaper than at the Museum shop.
