Not sure what your point is here George, and I don't really care to get into a discussion where you quote examples that imply intentionality as an example of something that disputes intentionality. A bit pointless in my mind , and largely self defeating , but you've got your own good reasons I suppose .
It's my opinion that there is no chance involved here , and the design is most certainly deliberate . The implication of this is that there was a reason for it , and one that was maintained over a period of time by people we know little about . As I said there is more this than you can see on Google Earth, and some time spent on the site with an open mind would show this , as I have discovered .
I'm not getting into bitty details and petty squabbles with you over this George , I can't be bothered , it's just too pointless and with you it's never ending .
You have my opinion , make of it what you want , I won't be commenting here any more.

Cerrig , I have given reasons why I don't accept your opinion ,you have simply said that you have a different opinion with no reasons /explanation . The reason for noting the greater number of equidistant vees with a lesser number of monuments all of which were genuinely prehistoric ,as at Torrylinn , was to show how common the phenomena can be .If you believe a difference of opinion when reasons are given is a petty squabble , fine .I also don't think there is much to the belief that any of the siting of monuments in the examples mentioned is related to measure .

Here is another example of equidistance involving a standing stone and two stone circles . Have I discovered another example of the use of equal measure being the reason for siting monumnets ? I don't believe fior the reasons given .
In this case ,again , there are no other recorded monuments in the space outlined by their “triangle “ although it is quite likely that there are monuments in the space and have not been discovered . The monuments are 1)Claughreid stone circle :http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/4855/claughreid.html ,
2)Glen Quicken stone circle :http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/166/glenquicken.html
And 3)Bagbie standing stone : http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/4854/bagbie_stone.html
1-2 =2,341 m and 1-3 =2, 341 .Like the Maen Llia example it’s only an equidistant “vee” , the third distance which would make an equilateral triangle is missing
