It does look like this group must have been at Botallack..the manor is the house on the right side of the track leading out to the Crowns engine houses. This would mean that the area where the circles were is probably where the village grew up in the 1800s. Ocifant..the circle you mention is out on Kenidjack headland isn't it? too far away to be near the manor.

I have looked through 'Romance of the Stones' and they make no mention of these circles even though they mention several other sites that no longer exist....perhaps they were stumped as well!
