I agree that it's not ALL of the pagans. And as with so many things it's always the bad uns that give the rest a bad name.
I fully respect the rights of pagans to use old defunct sites, the original use of which we have no clue about, as they see fit. I use them as a 'tourist' for want of a better word - and that probably isn't the original purpose either. Mind you, having said that, there is strong evidence that Romans did come to Newgrange in a tourist capacity and left offerings there .. curious .. so perhaps the tourist element actually have more claim than anyone to it. I don't believe I said that! However, we have direct evidence of long term tourism at these sites, but no proof of ritual. How's that for digressing a long way within a post?
