Not that it matters much , but Spalding is an art historian ,which might explain the ahistorical comment about Mesolithic Cramond and Druids .
His geography is as bad , Gilmerton ,a suburb of Edinburgh doesn't overlook Cramond , even it the mesolithic . The real howler : Gilmerton does have a nearby ridge complete with megaliths , but it is a different Gilmerton ,over 40 miles miles away to the north west , from the Gilmerton with the cave .
