You're perfectly right, it's only a TV programme, and a superb one at that, but having spent nearly 2 decades trying to do something about the massive, unnecessary loss of knowledge I guess I'm entitled to fret about certain aspects of it that I'm pretty sure will accelerate the loss.

(As for accusations I'm not fairminded, it was I not my critics who proposed and organised the Institute of Responsible Detectorists and various other pro-detecting initiatives, so you can draw your own conclusions on the matter!)
