Fernworthy (Froggymead) and Assycombe are among my favourite sites, that area of the moor is definitely worth investigating if you've never been.

That's a good example of how people used to live, and a lovely site too. The PDF format gave one of the clearest displays I've ever seen !

Stones seemed to have been used to provide a stable foundation for the buildings.

Love to get to these one day. Great link that.

Have you ever noticed an Eastern facing arc there at all, by any chance ?

I couldn't see one in the pics.
