Scarpa boots I currently have are very good, but the particular type has been (very expensively) upgraded now, so I couldn't afford to buy the current version!

Jeepers they are expensive aren't they Alken!! On saying that, I suppose you only get what you pay for. It will depend on how cheeky I am or how much courage I can muster up to suggest them as they are to be a Crimbo pressie to me :-). Cheers
