I have zero reason to spring to the defence of the Heritage Trust but to say "We know that some stones were selected for their distinctive appearances" is "a ridiculous statement" is completely unfair.

Nobody "knows" anything but there's enough evidence to say it may well be true and most people would probably think it was.

Alien landing strips are ridiculous, whereas this is just shorthand for "there is strong circumstantial evidence that". Anyway, come to think of it it IS true. Duloe.

I'd go further, actually. The linked post is a blog. It has a comments section. That's the place to respond to it. Pursuing the author to another website and attacking them there is pretty poor form. Disagreeing with an opinion is one thing, but this post is personal and unpleasant.

Before i read any further i'll respond to this.

Fair enough if speculation is good enough for yourself Nigel, but for me posting an opinion as fact doesn't wash with me, it's like a red rag to a bull. A quick question, why is the "tree stone" located within Bryn Celli Ddu ? Why not use it as a portal stone ? Given it's natural nature, like the SL stone ?
