Apologies for not knowing how to make the link above live. This is the official government website for the ridgeway, it has various links.

You did it without even trying! Clever, eh?

I need a good ridgeway guide book too, not for visits, but for comparison with one area I'm looking at elsewhere. I'll check out your link later.

I have a book that is by the country side commission , national trail guide titled ,<funnily enough> The Ridgeway, by neil Curtis ISBN
1 85410 490 X
published by aurum press £10.99
it has photos OS maps and general chit chat, circular shorter routes or the whole 85 miles, as well as camp sites, routes, public transport, organisations and accomodation. its quite a small and concise book, but can't compare it to anything as i havent found anything else about walking the ridgeway. website above posted by elderford looks interesting.
i am hoping to walk it next year, only trouble with the book is that it starts at Overton hill and goes 'up' whereas i want to END up at Avebury but thats not a big problem really
enjoy your time there and let us know what its like!
