I didn't see anything else other than the mound, but then again I was hardly out of broken cover from the wood where the two stones were either side of the track and only looking ahead when I experienced this strange feeling and not able to continue. From where I was the mound was I would say roughly about the same size as the barrow across the A4 on Overton Hill from the Sanctuary. At no time did I see any other signs indicating there was a Roman Fort on offer. A roman fort with a large norman motte.
