Book Swap

close

I've found myself with a couple of doubles (from xmas/bday presents) and wondered if anybody with extra copies of their own fancied doing a swap :

Prehistoric Flintwork by Chris Butler
An Illustrated guide to Early Buckinghamshire by Michael Farley

The Buckinghamshire book is recent and a good overview, Ice age to Tudor, plenty of illustrations, and lots on the Neo to IA. Michael Farley is the former county archaeologist.

The Chris Butler book is a classic. Enough said!

Not bothered about prices etc. Both books are in decent condition. Let me know if you have anything you're willing to swap.

Oh and i've got several spares of Rev. Bullocks 1894 pamphlet, 'Glastonbury Trifle' if anybody is interested.

First off, nice idea for a thread.

Second, this sounds good, but I've nothing to swap (at least nothing TMA-ish, although lots of other things), but let me know if you take magic beans or other currency.

Prehistoric Flintwork now gone.

Not for swapping I’m afraid, but well worth a read if you can find a copy – The One World of Lao Tzu and Modern Physics: A Dialogue with a Zen Abbott, by Akira Hasegawa.

“This book represents an attempt to explain Japanese thought to Western readers. It is written in the form of a dialogue between the Zen Buddhist Abbot Nanrei Sohaku Kobori and a physicist, the author. The dialogue has been used to help present the essence of Zen and Taoism in terms of Western concepts.”
