Bought this at a fair:

- there is a Stonehenge in the same World Heritage series -

Know nothing about stamps but thought it rather nice and that it would be nice to collect others if they exist from any era - anyone?

Seem to remember there was a series of stamps issued by the Royal Mail on prehistoric sites (in Britain?) but a quick search hasn’t thrown anything up.

There are threads on TMA about pub signs and pub names with a megalithic theme (but you can’t really collect those :-) Also, there’s been quite a few beers and beer mats with megalithic names/themes – this is my favourite (was a good beer as well :-)

These are nice:

Also this, taken from the beautiful Friedrich painting i've lusted after for many years :

A very interesting post (ho-hum) indeed - and a beautiful stamp. Would love to get hold of the Stonehenge one.

Oddly, a joint issue with Australia back in 2005 - Hadrian's Wall was also included.
