"Wouldn't it have been easier, politer even, to just move on and accept we don't all believe or disbelieve in the same way about the same things."

I'd like to point out that that the problem as I saw it wasn't what someone believed but their insistent tone that they were right. I suspect that was the only problem for everyone. Forums just can't operate, or at least they are rendered useless, if that attitude prevails so if I'm being obliquely criticised, I reject it.

Mr Astral shouldn't be painted as a bit of a martyr. If he's a victim of anything it's of his own refusal to play properly. I'm sure he's a nice bloke but even nice blokes need to keep to club rules else we'll have no club.

Club rules! You are joking - was it part of the club rules to try and drive me off the forum by blanking me every time I tried to participate in a discussion, even though I had contributed considerably with field notes, photos etc. I haven't forgotten Nigel, nor have I forgotten the people on this forum who tried to include me - Astralcat (aka Seacat) being one of them. Please don't come on here and talk about club rules because if certain people had their way a couple of years back it would have been a very exclusive club indeed.
