Yes, my Lumix seems to go on for ever on one charge. I even use it to take pictures for work (on the railways) in all weathers and temperatures and conditions and it always comes up trumps*. The main thing for me also in the fantastic ruggedness of the camera, short of being run over by a train I think it will go on forever.
Every camera has its limitations though and it's not always as cut and dry as the make or price.
