I genuinely believe EGD posted in good nature, that's all i'm saying on the matter. :)

As I said, so do I. But hopefully in retrospect he can see my point. A comment on an inividual image such as 'this comes up dark on my monitor, is that the idea?' would be what I would do.

Anyway, no hard feelings, so let's get back to discussing proper stuff such as archaeology, time, space and the meaning - or not - of life.

I have to agree. I don't think he was having a go at Robert, but it's very difficult to be tactful without coming across as a bit of an arse. I sometimes see pictures on here which I think could be better but, as TSC says, most people aren't using 'professional' equipment (though nowadays there really isn't much difference between a good compact and a DSLR, especially when images are shown at the size and resolution they are on TMA), so you can't really be that judgemental. I guess it would be the same as someone who's an English language teacher on here pointing out to me that my grammar and punctuation weren't quite up to scratch. I'd have to say that was irrelevant and that it was enthusiasm and spirit that counted!

Anyway, the point is that we all bring different qualities, skills and opinions to this site and should be respectful of this, otherwise there is no point.
